Sergio Busquets Burgos (born July 16, 1988) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Barcelona and the Spanish national team. Busquets began his football career with CD Badia del Vallès in Sabadell, Catalonia, before moving on to CEF Barberà Andaluca, Lleida, and UFB Jàbac Terrassa before joining Barcelona’s youth divisions in 2005.
