Rodrigo Hernández Cascante (born 22 June 1996) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Manchester City in the Premier League and for the Spanish national team.

Rodri made his senior debut for the reserves on February 7, 2015, while still a youngster, coming on as a late substitution in a 3–1 away win against RCD Espanyol B in the Segunda División B.

Rodri’s £62.6 million release clause was satisfied on July 3, 2019, allowing him to buy out the remaining of his contract with Atlético and leave the club. Manchester City paid a new record transfer fee for the transfer. He agreed to a five-year deal.
