Banfield

In the fifth game of the 2011 Clausura, Tagliafico made his professional and first-team debut in a 21-1 away victory over Tigre.

Following Marcelo Bustamante’s suspension, he started the next game, a 22-all draw against Huracan. Tagliafico was loaned out to Real Murcia in Spain for a season in 2012.

He made 92 appearances for the club and scored 3 goals.

Independiente

In 2015, he joined Independiente and made his professional debut against Newell’s Old Boys, scoring 32 goals. Tagliafico captained the team to victory in the 2017 Copa Sudamericana. He made 116 appearances for the club and scored 2 goals.
