Club career

Caicedo joined Independiente del Valle’s development academy at the age of 13 and made his first team debut in 2019. Caicedo made his debut for Independiente del Valle on October 1, 2019, in a 1-0 win over L.D.U. Quito in Ecuadorian Serie A.

Caicedo signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with English club Brighton & Hove Albion on 1 February 2021 for an unknown amount. Caicedo made his first appearance in Brighton’s first-team matchday squad on 10 February 2021, as an unused replacement in Brighton’s 1-0 away loss to Leicester City in the FA Cup.

On August 24, he made his debut for Brighton, starting in an EFL Cup second-round away match against Cardiff City, where he set up Andi Zeqiri’s first Albion goal in a 2-0 win.

Caicedo joined Beerschot of Belgium’s top division on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day, August 31, 2021. On his seventh appearance, he scored his first goal, a 90+2nd-minute shot to secure all three points in a 2-0 home win over Genk.
