Vanzeir is a K.R.C. Genk youth representative. When he was eleven years old, he began playing in Genk’s youth sector. On September 18, 2016, he made his Belgian Pro League debut against R.S.C. Anderlecht in a 0–2 home defeat. After 81 minutes, he came on to replace Leon Bailey. He made only 9 appearances and scored 2 goals in three seasons with Genk.
