Anthony Lopes ComM ( born 1 October 1990) is a goalkeeper who currently plays for Ligue 1 club Lyon and the Portugal national team.

Born to Portuguese parents in Givors, a suburb of Lyon, At the age of nine, Lopes entered the Lyon youth system.

For the 2012–13 season, he was promoted to the first squad as the third choice behind Rémy Vercoutre and Mathieu Valverde. On October 31, 2012, he made his professional debut in a 3–1 away loss to Nice in the Coupe de la Ligue.

He made his UEFA Europa League debut on December 6th, in a 2–0 home win over Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona that saw the squad move to the knockout rounds unscathed. Since the 2013-14 Ligue 1 season, he has been the club’s first-choice goalkeeper after making his debut in the 2012-13 season.

On April 28, 2013, he made his Ligue 1 debut in a 1-1 home draw against AS Saint-Etienne in the Rhone Derby, when he produced a brilliant close-range save from Aubameyang.

Until Vercourtre went down with an injury, Lopes took over as the starter and kept it after the latter’s recuperation, despite suffering a double vertebra fracture in early November 2013.

On September 16, 2015, he made his UEFA Champions League debut in a 1-1 tie against Hubert Fournier. Lyon had finished second in Ligue 1 for two consecutive seasons under his presence (2014-15 and 2015-16). Lopes was wounded by a firework thrown from the fans while laying down in the penalty area at the Stade Saint-Symphorien, home of Metz, on December 3, 2016.

He made his 300th appearance in a 1–0 loss to Montpellier on August 27, 2019, and his contract was extended the next day until 2023. Lopes chose to play for Portugal and made his debut in a 0-2 friendly loss to Cape Verde on March 31, 2015.
